Besides a regular guided visit (CHF 85.-, added to the entrance fee), you can book interactive visits for your class, related to the PER (« Plan d’études romand », the study plan for the French-speaking part of Switzerland) :
« The iron craftsmen »
8-12 years old / PER : L1 23, 33 ; MSN 26, 35, 36 ; SHS 21, 22, 31, 32 ; A 22, 23, 32, 33 AC&M / CHF 220.- for 20 pupils / 1 hour and a half
With a guide, visit the iron section of the Museum. Take time to discover the various iron crafts and their specificities. See how the craftsmen lived and, in a workshop, forge a nail, a horseshoe and a volute with the help of our blacksmith.
The wearing of adequate clothing (trousers, long sleeves, closed shoes, non-synthetic clothing) is mandatory.

With a guide, visit the iron section of the Museum. Discover how we produce iron, then forge it. During a workshop with our blacksmith, experiment the specificities of this material : melting point, hardness, quenching, etc.
